Overall, the home inspection was a very good experience. An inspection was scheduled for me on very short notice, and to accommodate a tight schedule. Very professional – from providing details about the inspection up front, showing up at the property ahead of time, then going about the inspection in an orderly manner, and the follow up afterwards. The exhaustive list of items covered surfaced problems before someone moves in, so that these can be fixed up front, rather than running into hassles and repairs after occupying the flat, when furnishings would be in place. Also gives a general sense of confidence on the state of the apartment. Would recommend the service for new homes, as well as when purchasing existing homes to get an idea of the state of the house. In terms of potential improvements to the service – a better classification of problems encountered (e.g. critical functional issues vs minor cosmetic issues) would make the report easier to use.
